Hotel Costes

In 2015, Jean-Louis Costes entrusted Christian Liaigre with the layout and decoration of the newly acquired Hotel Lotti. An elegant address located on Rue de Castiglione, nestled between the Tuileries Garden, Place Vendôme, and Rue du Faubourg Saint- Honoré, this luxury hotel was once the preferred destination of the Duke of Westminster and numerous celebrities. The project also aimed to connect the spaces of Hotel Costes (designed by Jacques Garcia in 1995) with those of Hotel Lotti and a more recent third hotel located on Rue du Mont Thabor, consolidating the three establishments under a single brand: “Le Costes,” accessible through a spectacular entrance on Rue de Castiglione.

This major undertaking marks Christian Liaigre’s final achievement. Inaugurated in the early 2020s, Le Costes embodies the art of living and timeless refinement that contributed to the success of the architect- decorator and his studio. While Jacques Garcia’s decoration for Hotel Costes exudes a slightly theatrical style, Christian Liaigre conceived a more restrained approach, drawing inspiration from both a neo-classical Parisian mansion and the loft spirit.

From the lobby to the various suites and rooms, all the furniture was designed specifically for this project. Today, some of the creations born from this collaboration are brought together in the exclusive Costes X Liaigre capsule collection.
