When it came time to design the interior of this stunning sailing yacht, Liaigre immersed itself in the novels of Herman Melville, Joseph Conrad, and French naval officer Pierre Loti to seek inspiration from their grand, adventurous tales of gargantuan storms, unknown lands, and mysterious islands.

The 157 square meters of the cabin is decorated with just the right amounts of both contemporary comfort and traditional nautical style. The materials used—mahogany, pine, teak, and coral leather for the benches—exude luxury. The cabin, which follows the curve of the hull, is designed to maximize space. Every piece of furniture doubles as storage space, and all of them, from the tables and chairs to the lamps and cushions, are bolted down for passenger safety. As a final touch, fine examples of African and Oceanic art are scattered throughout the cabin, and even in the dining room window, adding to the ambiance of a sea voyage.
