From all these years spent working alongside Christian Liaigre, one obvious fact stands out: a designer has to learn how to see, never stopping at their initial convictions, and to ceaselessly search, through instinct and reflection, for the defining aspect of each project. To learn how to see, sometimes as a painter, sometimes as a sculptor, to find the essential element that will give the project its value. There is no end to the task of rewriting a history beyond styles, beyond fashion trends, and pursuing the essence of beauty in its most refined form.

Inside Studio Liaigre, a sneak peak backstage the new book “Liaigre Creation” Over a year of reflexion and conception was necessary to the realization of this new publication, which gathers the very essence of Studio Liaigre’s designs since 2016, with as a red line the wish to share the richness and diversity of the Studio’s creative palette as well as its unique look on creation, that it approaches as an infinite scope where each gesture is continuously cultivated and uniquely innovated.
Reveal an identity, and more important a sensitivity, is one of the purposes of this fourth and new book in the history of the Maison. In the manner of a designer’s notebook, it dives into Liaigre’s creation in a very intimate and generous way through the creative premises which give life to five major Interior Architecture projects.
As months passed, Liaigre le Magazine invited itself into the backstage of Studio Liaigre in Paris, and captured in a few sneak peaks the different steps in the making of this new book, in the aspect of a Making-of.
Natural and precious materials put together by intuition, researches and inspirations, sketches and drawings….are and remain the fundamental elements of a sensitive writing which places the human and its well-being at the core of its preoccupations.
